June 16th ~ Vacation Bible School 2012! ~ Wow, it is that time again! Time to gear up to share the love of Jesus with children in our community! VBS 2012 will be June 18-22. The VBS mandatory kick-off will be on Saturday June 16th, so all you dads can enjoy Father’s Day. If you would like to help, Geraldine would love to hear from you! 7 Deadly Sins ~ Sunday School class, taught by Russ Reinert, beginning January 8th. This study will be an in-depth look at those inner passions that drive our behaviors and darken our relationships. The class content is intended to be personal, practical, and heart-searching. Both Scriptural and current-day examples will be presented and analyzed.

New Men’s Sunday School Class ~ What’s on Your Plate? Discussion group, beginning January 8th. We will be using the Life Recovery Bible. For more information call Tony Huerta at 485-7711.

Boyd Shelton will be teaching a class titled “Prophecy and God’s Plan for the Earth,” a look from Genesis to Revelation to see how God is working to restore the human race to perfect fellowship with Him.

Women’s Sunday School Class ~ We are just beginning the book “The Blessing” by Gary Smalley and John Trent. This book will help us understand ourselves, our family and others as we explore Biblical principles that instill a godly sense of acceptance and significance.

Small Group for Singles and Young Married ~ Join us for the next 5 Sundays starting January 29th as we get to know each other and serve one another. Sunday we will meet right after late service, we will normally meet from 5-7PM, at the home of the Otto’s, 2250 Road H, 485-8056. This is a pot luck. We will be having tacos Sunday. Children are invited.

PACE Bible Study ~ A study for women who have experienced abortion, will begin this month. If you have even a bit of curiosity about this, please call me. Totally confidential . Sandy Dorn 485-7567.

Men’s Prayer Meeting and Bible Study ~ Join the Men’s Prayer Meeting at 6:30pm and Bible Study at 7:00pm every Wednesday evening in the Library. Come join us! The new Men’s Bible Study begins Thursday, 10/28.  Mike Jacobs will be leading the study The Christian Walk. Please call the office or Mike with any questions.

2 New Men’s Bible Studies with Pastor Kevin ~ on Tuesdays beginning 2/22 at 6:30AM and Saturdays beginning 2/26 at 8:00AM in the conference room. The groups will be going through the book “Every Man’s Battle”. No sign-up required. Please call the office for more info.

Women’s Wednesday Morning Bible Study ~ Begins 9/14. We will be offering 2 studies, Beth Moore’s “Jesus the One and Only” and David Jeremiah’s “Spiritual Warfare”. We meet from 9:30-11:45AM. Please call the church office for more information!

The Tuesday evening group meets 6:30 to 8:30PM. The Tuesday evening study is “Jonah” by Priscilla Shirer

The Thursday morning group is ongoing. We meet 10:00 to 11:30AM in the social hall. The Thursday morning Bible study is: ~ A Study of Hebrews by Lonnie Rhodes. Be challenged to live wholeheartedly for Christ in every situation.

Men’s Ministry is presenting a Bible study for couples called Couples Connection beginning in February. Groups will be formed and will meet one Friday a month for one year. Groups will eat together and study together. The Bible study is “Experiencing God’s Dream for Your Marriage” by Chip Ingram. Speedsters ~ For those (55 and older) who enjoy getting together for fellowship and various activities. The third Friday of each month they meet for a delicious luncheon in the Social Hall. If your not involved, plan to attend.

Celebrate Recovery ~ Women’s Step Study is beginning at 5:00PM on Sundays. We then have an Open Share Group for men and women at 6:30PM. If you have questions about the women’s study please call Carol Fulton at 485-5005. For questions about Celebrate Recovery please call Tony Huerta at 481-8398.

Missionary of the Week ~ Rebecca Schell, CrossWorld

Sunday School Teachers ~ There are opportunities to serve as Sunday School teachers for Pre-K thru K, and Jr. Church. These positions rotate with other teachers. Please call the church office 485-8541.

Nursery Volunteers ~ This is a wonderful opportunity to bless the families with young children in our church. If you would be willing to serve in the nursery once every few months please sign up in the foyer.

Sewing Circle ~ The ladies in the sewing circle are working on various projects to sell for the building fund. If you would like to help with their efforts by donating money for their materials you may place it in the jar in the foyer. If you are interested in joining the sewing circle or helping further please call Bea Irick at 485-5183.

Our Daily Bread ~ Our Daily Bread Christmas Daily Devotionals ~ Are available now in the foyer. These devotionals are set to begin Sunday 11/27.

Jail Ministry ~ Please bring in any used/ new magazines to give to people in jail. There is a box in the foyer.

Prayer Team ~ Come join us for prayer in the Church office. 1st team from 8:30—9:30 am and 2nd team 11:00—12:00 feel free to come for all or just part of the time

Benevolence~ Many in our church family have suffered loss of a loved one or an accident/illness. Please inform our benevolence ladies at 485-8990 or 485-8440 if you or someone you know of is in need.

Connect Groups ~ Connect groups are groups of 8-12 people who meet in homes to study God’s Word, pray and fellowship together. There are 5 different groups that meet on various evenings. If you are interested in being a part of these groups, please indicated that on an information card or call the church office.
